What Would Airless Tyres Mean For Safety

Looks very similar to an ordinary tubed tyre, an Airless Tyre or Tubeless tyre is a fuel-friendly super safe variety of tyre that does not possess any tube beneath it and the air is retained in between the tyre and rims itself.

The tyre offers immense safety in the event of a puncture as the air escapes out very slowly through a narrow escape and the vehicle keeps on running up to a certain distance (with a certain speed) and the driver also does not lose its control over the vehicle (due to sudden bursting of tyre leading to a huge sound and often misbalance) and is able to handle it safely without any jerk or discomfort. However, in case of a tubed tyre, the air goes out instantly if got punctured and the vehicle stops down with a jerk within no time or sometimes gets imbalanced often resulting in an accident.

Also, the probability of a tyre puncture raises manifold in case of a tubed tyre due to the structural underlining of the tube beneath it; however it may not be the case of tubeless tyres which are less prone to punctures and generally lasts longer.
Similar to a run-flat tyre, an airless tyre also possess the capability to run even at a lower (air) pressure without disrupting the safety and comfort of the riders; however, this is not the case with a tubed tyre which generally breaks out or sometimes leads to a serious accident if used with a low air pressure.

As seen in many cases, owing to a high level of friction (especially during the warm summer season), a tubed tyre burst out vigorously when driving with a very high speed at highways or clear open road often leading to a major accident. However, the probability vanishes out completely in case of an airless tyre which does not carry any tube along it and thus prevents the unwanted friction at times.
